#3: Original post-peak fiction

Reason 3

We hope you’ve read today’s piece by JB Sties, “Where presidents gazed.” It’s the fourth installment in Sties’ series of stories set in a small American city sometime in the near future, after a catastrophic financial collapse brought on by peak oil.

Our readers are geeky enough not to be scared away by a Hubbert curve or a discussion of leading economic indicators. But we know that they also like a good story. So we don’t just review the best fiction put out over that year that takes peak oil or post-collapse living as its theme. We also offer our readers a chance to read surprising post-peak fiction from emerging writers in the community.

Who knows. One of the writers you read in Transition Voice could become the Hemingway or JK Rowling of peak-ocalyptic fiction. And when that happens, you can say you read them first right here.
