If Al Gore can’t get Americans to care about climate, then who can?
But for the audience that’s more likely to watch Hannity than Gore, the Pew Climate Security Project has launched a smart campaign using retired military men and women to talk about the triple threat of climate change, national security and energy.
The video features John Warner, former Republican Senator from Virginia and secretary of the Navy from 1972-74 under Nixon, along with people from across the armed services saying some strong things about the need to deal with climate change:
You can pay me now or you can pay a whole lot later…and when I say ‘pay me now or later,’ it’s not just about dollars. It’s about American lives.
